Broken Hallelujah

Troy Terpstra

January 16–January 20, 2020

Troy Terpstra borrows fragments of imagery from TS Eliot, Leonard Cohen, and Psalms of both praise and lament in this largely figurative and fractured series of paintings.

You are warmly invited to a gallery opening reception for the exhibition on January 22 from 4–7 pm. All are welcome to join us in the Dal Schindell Gallery for refreshments and a chance to meet the artist.

The Broken Hallelujah exhibition will run from January 16-February 21, 2020.

About the Artist

Troy Terpstra is an artist living in East Vancouver. He arrived in Vancouver in 2013 to write his MA on the work of French cultural theorist Rene Girard, and fell in love with the city, especially his neighborhood and community near Trout Lake.  Besides painting, he also performs with the Mainstage Ensemble at the Improv Centre on Granville Island.
